Both Marshmallows and coffee are fat FREE! There is no fat whatsoever in either of them. They go together like strawberries and cream but together they suppress your appetite causing you to eat less and therefore lose loads of weight.
The Coffee and Marshmallow Diet Plan keeps to the 80:20 ratio rule that requires you to stick to the diet and exercise guidelines for 80% of the time, with a 20% buffer zone as a safety net for those reach-for-the-biscuit-barrel jitter moments.
STEP 1
The basic rules:
The Coffee and Marshmallow Diet Plan is based on eating a healthy low fat diet, whilst combating cravings with sweet coffee and marshmallows between meals. Drink your coffee as you prefer but try to replace milk with the skimmed variety and sugar with splenda or alternative sweetener. Don’t go overboard with the marshmallows but two or three with each cup of coffee should be enough to stave off a sweet craving and if you eat them slowly, savouring each one, you will feel satisfied for longer.
Now for the boring bits...
• Always eat breakfast. Eat within 60 minutes of getting up for maximum energy-boosting benefits.
• On average, aim for 1700 calories a day. This is the ideal amount and you will lose weight quickly if you stick to this. Don’t go below 1500 per day or you may get dizzy and malnourished. Too few calories will also affect the quality of your hair, skin and nails.
• Eat a small amount of protein with every meal as it leaves you feeling fuller for longer. Try fish; lean chicken; skimmed milk; eggs; nuts and seeds.
• Eat at least five portions of fruit and veg every day. Choose dark-green, leafy veg – high in fibre, it’s a natural source of iodine, which helps to boost your metabolism. When it comes to fruit choose grapefruit, plums and pears.
• Don’t add sugar or salt to your food. Sugar is high in empty calories and salt encourages bloating and water retention. Use sugar alternatives such as splenda when necessary.
• Introduce plenty of fibre into your diet. This is good for digestive health, preventing problems like haemorrhoids. Whole grains and high-fibre foods also take longer to digest, burning more calories in the process. Go for brown bread, pasta and rice.
